Explore and Share your passion for Buckmister Fuller's ideas, philosophy and work with like minded San Diego citizens!

Date: Tuesday May 26th 2015

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Location: World Resources SimCenter

(1088 Third Ave. San Diego, CA. 92101)

Buckminster Fuller was the "Leonardo Da Vinci of our time." His 4 hour lectures offered a tour of the universe and solutions for today. He was often 50 years ahead of technology innovation, and predicted many of the tools we are using now.

Bucky was also a humanist, saying that "we are here for each other. . . . and that we have problems to solve." This evening we will explore some key Generalized Principles: synergy and leverage -- and how they are always present on our daily lives, relationships and business.

We will also ask you to help plan some regular events that you would like to talk about? The World Game, Geodesic structures, Ephemeralization, Dymaxion Mapping, Synergetics . . . Who are the sustainable designers of our era that can speak to these principles? The "Everything I Know" series.  Who are the business leaders using these principles today?

More than ever we need to explore options that "make the world work for everyone." Bucky said there's enough to go around, and it's time we figure this out for ourselves.

Evening Host: Peter Meisen

Director of GENI and the SimCenter

Peter is a 1975 graduate of UCSD in Applied Mathematics and Engineering Scieces (AMES). He first saw Bucky speak at Miracosta College in 1971, and again in 1983 at a Hunger Project Board Meeting where Bucky was invited to speak. Peter's work is based on the core ideas and principles of Buckminster Fuller.
