Event Summary:

We invite you to the release of the NEW GENI Model animation that features the spinning earth, our unique 24 hour changing energy demand and choices we must make to mitigate climate change using renewable energies.

Model designers:

Raymond Moberly, Maxime Zondlowski, Jaime Reguero

Event Detail:

For the past 25 years, the Global Energy Network Institute (www.geni.org) has been driving the energy strategy to link renewable energy resources between nations using high-voltage transmission.  This plan was envisioned by Dr. R. Buckminster Fuller and is the premier global solution of the World Game simulation.

Our GENI Modelling team has now developed a compelling visualization that simulates our changing global energy supply/demand mix.  In our 24 hour world, there are 3 time zones that require the most electrical energy.   You will see a scary business-as-usual case that causes runaway poolution - and then another scenario that generates power from optimal renewable sources on the five continents.   By using an integrated grid, we can efficiently balance the electricity consumption load between all time zones and transition to a clean energy future.

This global solution to delivering electric power has proven benefits on many pressing current economic, societal, and political issues.  The proven benefits will reduce poverty and hunger in developing nations, decrease pollution from fossil and nuclear fuels, and increase trade and peaceful cooperation among countries.

Our GENI Modelling team has developed a rich data library and has produced a unique tool to better understand the consequences of the choices we are making today.

Until now, you can't see this anywhere else.

 Presenters:

Maxime Zondlowski

Maxime Stephan Zondlowski is a volunteer at the Global Energy Network Institute (GENI). He is an experienced multilingual professional with a strong international background. During his career, he developed strong core skills in data modeling and quantitative research analysis using a broad array of mathematical and statistical methodologies both in academia, where as a Physicist he developed cryogenic micro detectors designed for high energy resolution spectroscopy, but also in various private sectors including Software, Financial Services, and Biotechnology.

Jaime Reguero

Jaime Reguero is a young computer scientist and mathematician from Spain, with a Master's degree on artificial intelligence. He has international experience on quality analysis of financial datasets, and renewable energies production modelling. His participation at GENI involves research of energy datasets, and data visualizations development.

About Global Energy Network Institute and the SimCenter
GENI's mission is to conduct research and to educate world leaders and the public about the critical strategy of the interconnection of electric power networks between nations and continents, with an emphasis on tapping abundant renewable energy resources. In 2011, GENI moved into its new facility, and opened the World Resources Simulation Center. The SimCenter is an immersive visualization facility that facilitates collaborative problem solving.
