The Economics & Financial Options in Retrofitting Commercial Buildings

Although there is significant documentation and studies completed byorganizations such as BOMA, USGBC and the U.S. GSA, the limitedinformation that exists that helps guide a private sector owner of acommercial structure to help them decide the financial implications ofretrofitting their building to a higher energy efficient standard. Thispresentation would first review historic and current trends in retrofitting and incorporate some documented studies regarding the financial implications of retrofitting to a higher energy efficiency level. The course will also document case studies regarding increases in property values as a result of energy efficiency upgrades.
