Join the Executive Director of the Equinox Center, Stephen Heverly, as he breaks down the positive and negative trends in 15 essential areas that effect our quality of life in San Diego. Gain insight into how these issue are interconnected and systemically linked.

Equinox Center's principal publication, The San Diego Regional Quality of Life Dashboard, combines data collection and analysis with research and outreach strategy to advance intelligent policy in the San Diego region. Drawing from strong relationships with environmental groups, government and the business community, Equinox Center is able to provide a balance snapshot of the region's quality of life using credible data, clear metrics and benchmarks. The Dashboard tracks our region's progress on critical interlinking q  uality-of-life issues and provides examples of where things are working and ideas for how we can improve.

STEPHEN HEVERLY MANAGING DIRECTOR

Stephen oversees programs, policy research, communications and fundraising for Equinox Center. He has close to a decade of experience working in public affairs. Prior to Joining Equinox Center, Stephen was Communications Director for Councilmember David Alvarez's mayoral campaign, worked for Jamie Ortiz Communications supporting business and nonprofit marketing efforts and was a policy advisor to San Diego City Councilmember Sherri Lightner. In the community, he's served on Equinox Center's Leaders 2020 Steering Committee and the Ocean Beach Town Council Board of directors, as well as volunteering with a number of local environmental organizations and non-partisan political campaigns. He's a graduate of the San Diego Leadership Alliance, New Leaders Council fellowship and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saginaw Valley State University.

 

It will take years - but we must start now.

  • Free Parking: Horton Plaza has 3 hour free parking with validation.

    or Best parking is at street meters, green and yellow curbs. All are free after 6 pm.
