Elyse is the Executive Director of Move San Diego, the only non-profit in San Diego advocating for world class public transit and sustainable transportation and land use planning for the San Diego region. Elyse studied Environmental Studies (policy and planning) and Earth Science at UC Santa Cruz.  Over 6 years, Elyse was appointed Council Representative, Crossroads Redevelopment Project Area Director, Consultant to the City Council's Land Use and Housing Committee, and Consultant to the Rules and Intergovernmental Relations Committee. Her current work with Move San Diego focuses on advocacy and education for fast, effective transportation choices that support regional mobility, environmental conservation, economic prosperity and quality of life. In 2010, Elyse was named 35 under 35 by San Diego News Network.com

Jim's career in environmental education and sustainability has spanned more than 30 years. Before joining the staff of WalkSanDiego he served as Vice President of Programs at the San Diego Natural History Museum where he was responsible for developing education programs and exhibitions that focused on the plants, animals and habitats of Southern California and the Baja peninsula.  Jim sits on the Board of Directors of California Walks, a state-wide pedestrian advocacy organization. Before coming to San Diego, he was Vice President of Programs at Mystic Aquarium and Institute for exploration in Mystic, CT. Jim earned a BS in biology from Southern Connecticut State University and an MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego.

Andy Hanshaw, MPA, has been Executive Director at the SDCBC since July of 2011. He is also the founder and organizer of the annual Bike The Bay community bike ride that takes place each August in San Diego. A career nonprofit and development professional, he has lead efforts to help small businesses working with Business Improvement Districts in San Diego and Portland, Oregon and he also led fundraising efforts for the recently completed San Diego State University Alumni Center. Andy enjoys riding his bike whenever possible and considers himself a road rider, beach cruiser and a bicycle commuter.
