We have a Climate Action Agreement:
 Now What?
  with Nicole Capretz
(Voice of San Diego's 2015 "Voice of the Year")
Feb. 10, 2016      6-8pm

The San Diego City Council unnanimously approved the Climate Action Plan. It took dozens of meetings and political courage.
60 business and NGOs voiced their endorsement.  This accomplishment was featured in the New York Times, with the headline:
"San Diego vows to move entirely to Renewable Energy in 20 years"

Many deserve credit, but the primary driver of this initiative is Nicole Capretz, who helped author the Climate Action Plan while working with Interim Mayor Todd Gloria.  Nicole left government to form the Climate Action Campaign, to keep the politicians and the community focussed

Nicole Capretz is the "2015 Voice of the Year"
chosen by Voice of San Diego

So, Now What?

We have 20 years to grow from
38% renewable to 100%.
The are 4 other critical elements of the plan: waste reduction, increased transit, efficient buildings and climate resiliency
That's a major lift and will require full participation by government, business, NGOs and SDG&E.

How do we measure our progress?
What are the milestones and yearly targets?

Please join SDRES, GENI
and the 100% Renewable San Diego team
to discuss next steps.
