This year, SanDiego350 will have three booths at Earth Fair to educate San Diegans about 100% clean energy/Climate Action Plan, Fracking and the climate impacts of a meat-based diet.

We need your help!  This will be a fun and rewarding opportunity to collaborate with other SD350 members and talk with regular San Diegans about climate change.  No experience needed as we will provide training.

We have lots of fun activities planned including a photo booth where Earth Fair goers can have their photos taken holding signs in support of a strong Climate Action Plan, 100% renewable energy and the banning of fracking in CA.  Photos will be sent to our mayor and Governor Brown to connect faces to our cause.  We will also have a “paper boy” (think “Extra, extra!”) attracting people to our booths with hot-off-the-press headlines regarding the terrible impacts of fracking in California and how New York banned it.  Finally, at the “Garden of Eating” we’ll be passing out vegetarian food samples and educating the public about the impact of livestock agriculture on climate change, water usage, etc.

Volunteers will be organized in three shifts running from 8am-11am, 11am-3pm and 3pm-6pm.  Please use this sign up link to sign up for a shift or to help with pre and post Fair activities which include phone calls before the Fair to recruit volunteers and typing of signups and phone call follow up with new folks after the fair.
