Restoring the Earth is the eight chapter written by author Lester R. Brown in his book Plan B: Mobilizing to Save Civilization. In his book he talks about protesting and restoring forests, planting trees to sequester carbon, conserving and rebuilding soils, regenerating fisheries, protecting plant and animal diversity and the earth restoration budget.

Altogether, then, restoring the earth will require additional expenditures of just $110 billion per year. Many will ask, Can the world afford these investments? But the only appropriate questions is, Can the world afford the cost of not making these investments?
